Veronica Dearly smiling wearing a white dress with black polka dots

Hello, I’m Veronica Dearly. I’m an illustrator, author and qualified transformational coach.

I’m originally from London but I now live in North Devon with my family.

My work often focuses on actual real life, I try to document our shared experiences in a light hearted way. Using a combination of humour + observation, I explore a wide variety of subjects.

Common themes in my work (and coincidentally in my personal life) include:

  • Navigating adult life

  • Equality + politics

  • Mental health struggles

  • Self improvement

  • Parenting

  • Dogs

If you want to find out more about working with me please do get in touch. I’d love to hear from you!

I’m the author of How to Do Hard Things, an illustrated manual for navigating the afore mentioned actual real life.

I live with my husband, two teenage children, two dogs (Fang & Gnasher) and one snake (Olivia Benson.)

When I’m not drawing, or driving teens around, I also enjoy re-watching Bobs Burgers in my pyjamas, running, cycling, bobbing about in the sea, learning the cello, or reading books about old people solving crimes.

I’m tee total, but I love a pub quiz.

I’m motivated to keep going by a desire to try new things, a hunger for adventure, and an ongoing existential crisis.

So that’s me in a nutshell - lovely to meet you!
